Donkhoun is located in the middle of the Mekong River in the area of Pakxeuang Village, Luang Prabang City, Luang Prabang Province. It covers an area of 8 hectares and is state-owned land, situated near the Lao-ASEAN-International Tourism Industrial Zone Modern City Project.

Project Progress
Successfully signed a concession agreement with the Luang Prabang Provincial Administration to develop the area into a cultural and natural tourist attraction with community participation, on September 7, 2021, in Luang Prabang Province.
Successfully obtained investment permission, Investment License No. 34/IPC.LP (Investment Promotion Committee of Luang Prabang Province), dated February 20, 2021.
Successfully completed the overall project master plan design, which consists of 12 zones as follows:
- Main Entrance and Archway Gate Zone
- Handicrafts and Souvenirs Zone
- Cafe Zone
- Restaurant Zone
- Information and Exhibition Center Zone
- Flower Greenhouse and Fitness Zone
- Old Temple Zone
- Maintenance House Zone
- Elephant Stable Zone
- Elephant Examination and Care Center Zone
- Traditional Conservative Guesthouse Zone (1)
- Traditional Conservative Guesthouse Zone (2)
